Lee Croft, Owain Tudor - Jones,  Matt Gill, Luke Chadwick

Alan Lee, David Mooney

Just goes to show how pathetic the managers we had prior to Lambert. Gunn, Roeder and Grant all deemed the above suitable for a Championship team, with the exception of Gill and Tudor-Jones who were bought for League 1.

Anyone notice that despite all those people saying how Spillane is better than Russell Martin and we''d regret losing him,we''re 3rd in the Championship with Russ getting better every game & Brentford are having a stonking season propping up the League 1 table... Funny that isn''t it?

I was in the Spillane > Martin camp not so long ago. I thought Spillane was easily the more capable full back. But all credit to Martin; he''s been superb so far this season. Easily the match of Drury on the other flank. Long may it continue.
Croft got sent off :P
I actually went to the Colchester-Huddersfield game – lots of City interest, with Lee Clark (class act, Huddersfield played some great stuff), Crofty (booked for a handball, then a second yellow for chopping someone down very late), Ian Henderson (still absolutely awful at playing football, booked for diving), David Mooney (see Henderson, minus the booking), and Alan Lee (still a handful, Col U fans absolutely hating him, he was loving it). Colchester were reassuringly awful, nothing but hopeful long balls and aimless diagonals. Okuonghae and Baldwin look a decent centre-back partnership, but they had no creativity whatsoever. Huddersfield should finish top six easily, 6/1 for the title with Ladbrokes looks a decent bet.

I wouldn''t count on Spillane being in Brentford''s plans a year or two from now either, not if they want to do better than average in L1.

What''s the deal with Croft these days? Is he just not playing much for Huddersfield despite being on loan from Derby? Is he having a career meltdown?
