QPR fan - IN PEACE!

Recommended Posts

Hi folks.

Really looking forward to Saturday, should be a great atmosphere at Loftus Road with 3,000 of your lot in the School End.

Some travel advice:-

Parking - try the roads off the Uxbridge Road west of The Adelaide pub - free, and normally plenty of room if you arrive early enough.

Pubs - The Springbok in South Africa Road is strictly off limits but any of the pubs around Shepherds Bush Green will be fine.

Underground - White City, and Wood Lane are walking distance and Shepherds Bush Overground is the far end of the Green.

I think this will be a high scoring match and I fully expect we will lose our "no goals conceded at home" tag. Having said that, our midfield is packed with talent so expect an aerial bombardment from us as well!

All the best, enjoy the game, and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Sadly, I can''t go but am wondering what the QPR fan, who was a bit of an acrobat, is doing now after the last time I was at Loftus Road. Not quite the entertainment I''d expected to see on the pitch.Helpful tips for all. Shame about The Springbok as that''s where we''ve been in the past.

the last time we used the Springbok, the beer was undrinkable - an absolute sh*thole. There are far better and more friendly pubs in the shepherds bush area - or indeed drink at covent garden/london bridge and get the tube!

Got a feeling this is our year. Warnock has steadied the ship since he arrived and made some great signings. Mackie is a handful as is Taarabt on his day. Defence looks solid as a rock.

Honestly believe we will go up as champions, Norwich 2nd. Fancy Burnley, Ipswich, Cardiff and possibly Reading for the play-offs

thanks for the tips Bushwhacker, always nice to get some friendly advise from other fans.

Always intersesting to see other fans views of Norwich as well and thinking we''ll be 2nd in the table shows how others feel we are a strong team. I''d certainly settle for that.

I think we could end up there if luck goes our way, but as ever in the league teams will win a few/lose a few and move up and down like yo yo''s. Will be interesting to see if you can maintain your form, we all remember Leeds flying away last year at the start and then srambling to promotion.

Unfortunately i can''t make it this week but do remeber my last visit to QPR, back in the days of having a plastic pitch!!

Good luck for the rest of the season (apart from Sat of cause)

Yep, do not get off at The Bush otherwise you will have a lovely Police escort. They will keep you huddled up until the last possible moment and march you to the ground, last time I went, with minutes to spare before kick off. Spoke to one copper who said that it was the ''norm'' even though we were not a threat; he suggested that it was a way that the Met could ''lever'' more cash out of QPR for services rendered...

i think QPRs problem will be with injuries.. im not sure what your backup is like Bushwacker, but if you lose key players have you got anyone who can step up to the plate?

The Rs have the winning mentality this season that we had last. The way they pulled 3 points out against Palace even when Palace had equalised right at the end reminded me a lot of one of our many many late late shows last season. If they can keep that mindset, they''ll go up for sure. If they do get injuries, i feel certain that with the position they''re in, Warnock will be given whatever he needs to fill any gaps.Jas seems very confident - ''one of our easiest away trips'' apparently !! ;)

Well, up front we''ve signed Rob Hulse who has not got a game yet recovering from an Achilles injury.

Our bench is full of players who were playing in the first team last season plus Tommy Smith. We have cover for every position. We are a MUCH better squad than last year.

I think the central line is shut. We may have to plan another route[/quote]It''s only shut east of Liverpool Street, so shouldn''t be an issue unless people were thinking of parking on the eastern outskirts and getting the tube from there.
