He does have this reputation of only being able to play half a season then getting a lengthy injury....not quite as bad as whitbread though, is he still a footballer?

I think that Surman will be back pretty soon and I also think that when we see the best of him that he will prove to be just as good a player as QPR''s Taarabat.

I also think that Steven Smith will be our 2nd choice player in that position when we need a more defensive option in future (if he isn''t covering for Drury at left back).
