What appeared to be teething problems yesterday haven''t gone away and I have to concur with the majority of posters that this downgrade is awful.Could you please explain why this change was necessary, Peter?

Had hoped I dreamt the changes, but no.Still a fair few things to tweak as the inconsistency of cell sizes is really beginning to irritate me now; as is the compact look.

All Archant sites have switched over to a new system that integrates the new CMS used in Editorial.

It''s exactly the same forum and hopefully the cosmetics will be sorted at some point - will let you know if and when.

Ads covering the middle of posts so you can''t read them?

Users with usernames that you can''t quote?

since the changeover yesterday.

We have a test url here for you all to

have a good look at and give us your thoughts on the

changes.

You can look at and post messages

on this version of the site, as it is sharing the same content as we have on the

live site. Pay no heed to speed or performance as it''s on a test site.

In the opinion of a hypocrite (you should see some of the sites I work on, actually, you shouldn''t, it wouldn''t be fair...) If you''re going to go for a pink background, you need to use either black or white text.  Pink on pink doesn''t work.  Your best bet might be a #ffccff background, with black text for headers.  Or you could play about with "web-safe" colours here.Reply and quote buttons need to be back where they were on the right, to make the header smaller. I don''t know whether it''s just my browser, but the thin arial font you''re using is difficult to read in bold, let alone in pink bold on a pink background.  The problem is that it is the corporate Archant font...Width issue still needs to be addressed on user details.
