The Board. Saints or Sinners.

So, we were close to administration but Delia, Michael and Co bailed the Club out. They are all saints then?

How would administration have affected reputations, more than that would a new board have needed to have been formed, or a new company? How would this have affected their positions and their own historiacl financial input?

What if national cookery queen failed to pay the pieman?

Did they, in fact, not have any real choice because the Club got relegated and broke by poor management and stewardship (until McNally rode into town) and they stood to lose on all fronts?

I am appreciative of what these people have done and never doubt their love of the Club. But they have been too personally involved and failed to make hard decisions in the past.

Does their true fanship make them saints or underneath it all are they sinners?

McNally is the real saint for me, because when he came in he basically gave the rest of the board the kick up the backside that it needed to get themselves out of the mess they were in.

McNally is more like some fired up dragon slaying archangel as opposed to the cherub type.

It became quite clear last night that McNally and Foulger saved this club from oblivion. It also became clear that the previous stewardship were not taking difficult decisions that might upset some fans prefering to go with burying their heads in the sand than making difficult decisons.

I think it is safe to say that the banks have shown faith in McNally and Foulger but would not have had the same thoughts towards the previous regime and Doncaster. As I have said on another thread dont know how you do it but McNally should be nominated for one of those legend things at the end of the season.

Draw your own conclusions City 1st but I was asking an open question. The other thread about the meeting was going off on a tangent about 1st Wizard, infact, it seems threads only lengthen on here when they go off on a tangent as the original points are quickly forgotten.

They are neither - they''re just doing the best they can in difficult circumstances. Overall I''m satisfied with this new board. We''re more likely to make the return to the Premiership now than when the likes of Doomcaster were involved.

[/quote]Couldn''t agree more. As I said, McNally''s arrival basically gave the club a second wind if you will. Under Doncaster we were getting absolutely nowhere. Actually that''s not strictly true, we were slipping further and further into the abyss. I''ve said it time and time again, but I really think if anyone has any doubts whatsoever about McNally, some of the payers or coaching staff, just look at what they''ve done in a 13 month spell. It''s absolute magic.
