Hull - away form

Recommended Posts

I know times have changed but I certainly hope we have ridden of our unbelievable knack of ending these sort of streaks. Thinking Plymouth a couple of seasons ago.

We need to beat them, in reality, we have played a lot of the ''lesser'' teams and need to beat all the lower teams. Look at Scum, played Burnley, Cardif, ''Boro, QPR. We have not played any off them.

No easier yet no more difficult than any other game we face this season.Hull haven''t won away from home yet but you only have to look at their side on paper to realise they''re particularly dangerous. A midfield of Koren, Bullard, Bostock, Cairney is as good as any at this level.

It''s hard to pick an easy from a hard game at the moment, the only generally easier game we have/had is preston as there form is poor and there side on paper looks poor too, you can''t say that about any other side at the moment...pre season matches against hull/leicester would have been ''hard'' matches and now there looking like they should be winnable where as watford was a dead cert, and they have just beaten millwall away and smacked them for 6..

I''m not a fan of the ''theres no easy games'' saying managers come out with because realistically there are if your a good side but this year it really is hard to look for an ''easy'' fixture

Our next 3 opposition.Hull City 2010/11 Away Form : LLL (GF 1 / GA 9)Leicester City 2010/11 Away Form : DLL (GF 3 / GA 7)Bristol City 2010/11 Home Form : LDLL (GF 4 / GA 10)Not a win to share amongst them. The team is almost obligated to win such is the direty of their form, especially with the out-and-out leaders of the division to follow them, but such is football it could scarcely be further from the truth of the matter.

But then we have played Watford and Swansea, who both occupy both play off spots below us, Donny are in 7th.

err no,

we have played 4 of the top seven, they have played 2

we have played 2 of the bottom seven they have played 4

on an aggregate the total they have played is lower ie 88 against our 82

However at this stage it doesn''t count for much other than to disprove innaccurate claims. Are we playing well, are we consistent would be better debating points.

Hull and Leicester should provide a minimum of 4 points. They are both struggling at this stage so best to get the points when we can.

http://thirdlion.wordpress.com/2010/09/19/two-brief-statistics/Points per game of Norwich''s opponents - 1.36Points per game of Ipswich''s opponents - 1.36Points per game of QPR''s opponents - 1.3We''ve not played any of the big hitters that people expected to challenge for the title yet, but the teams we''ve played have been just as good as Ipswich''s and better than QPR''s. We''ve played good sides.

Furthermore, Ipswich might have one point advantage but they have had one more home game than we have.

This means we could likely have a slight points advantage after next week-end''s games.

All a bit daft really, but until the season is well underway, enjoying week-end bragging rights is just part of the fun. Not that serious though.

That is, for those who take on-board the rivalry aspect of supporting a football club.

I do and, from peeping into some of their boards, notice that they have more than a slight concern about our quiet progress thus far. One thread even fantisised about a potential "Old Farm" play-off final this season. This brought about a reaction of some panic at the thought of us snatching it from their anticipating grasp.

Now that would be serious.

People don''t seem to realise when calculating these ''averages'' that teams will pick up less points (shock horror!) if they lose!

This is in particular reference to QPR. Teams they''ve played have less points, partially because they''ve beaten them!
