Methane 0 Posted September 19, 2010 I''ve heard only the lower tiers will be open on 8th October. Whats that all about. Surely for a crucial knock-out tie it would be a sell-out crowd especially with 10 quid and 5 quid very reasonable prices.

grantroederdisaster 0 Posted September 22, 2010 I''m sure if we get close to selling out the lower tiers then contingency measures have been put in place to open one of the upper tiers!
Forever Norwich 0 Posted September 22, 2010 Have we ever hosted a England first team game?
grantroederdisaster 0 Posted September 22, 2010 No we haven''t! We missed an opportunity when Wembley was being rebuilt a few years back and England 1st team games were spread round the Country cause our ground didn''t hold 30,000. I''m sure if it had we''d of been considered!
southstand 0 Posted September 22, 2010 Yes we have - England v Czechoslovakia a long time ago - might have been 1958 - People with a long memory might help meCould have been an under 23 International - think it was

southstand 0 Posted September 22, 2010 More info from GoogleA crowd of 38,000 saw an Under-23 team including legends Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Greaves play Czechoslovakia in the 1950s, while the Under-21s have been to Norwich three times and won all three matches. They include a 4-1 against Denmark in a European Championship qualifier in 1983, and 4-2 against Greece in the second leg of a play-off in 1997, as well as a 5-0 friendly win over Slovakia on their last visit three years ago.Who can remember the score against Czechs - I think 2-

southstand 0 Posted September 22, 2010 The result was actually 3-0, I was there all of 52 years ago - must have left at half time - thought the score was 2-0 - either that or the dreaded ALS
Philipo87 0 Posted September 22, 2010 The last Under-21 game was a funny one. Although we won it, we stil had a penalty shootout at the end!!
