Just for a bit of fun, who''s everyone''s top 5 current NCFC players and why?Mine are probably:1. Wes - Inspirational on his day.2. Holty - For his overall contribution to the team, whether he''s fully fit or not. He cannot be replaced in my eyes.3. Surman - Technically Brilliant. So great to have a player of his calibre at the club. We''ll miss him while he''s out.4. K Smith - Makes us tick, young, energetic and fully committed to the cause.5. Tussling between Lappin and Crofts - Both for the 100% effort and commitment they put in every game. I think Lapps just about steals it but Crofty is quickly becoming one of my favourites.Curious to see what everyone else thinks.OTBC!

He''s probably a lovely fellow but, to me, he''s a lad with big hair. Not sure that he was good enough for a top League 1 side and I am convinced he''s not good enough at this level - just can''t see what the fuss is about. Would love to be proved wrong and I usually am!

I think the best thing about this post is that we actually have a choice!!

Going back a couple of years ago we just about had 5 players we actually owned on the pitch and most of them werent favourites!

For me its

1) C Martin -home grown and Quality (and I like his arogance!)

2) Grant Holt - a battler and goal scorer

3) Hoolahan -bit of class

4) K Smith- 100%

5) Croft - way he has risen to challenge of Championship and contributed to our great start

1) Super Chris - Came through the youth system. Sat in the stands as a kid dreaming of playing for us and is now ''living the dream'' anyone that says he is lazy does not have a clue. Martin is class. Scores goals! 2) Korey smith - 100% pure class from our youth again and will be a top premier player in 2 or 3 years time.3) Grant Holt - Without him we are fecked. He makes us tick. He is the first proper captain since malky. Battler. Scores goals.4) adam drury - Mr dependable. Does his job never moans. The gary lineker of the left back world.5) Joint 5th.  One mickey Nelson / wesley - commitment. Sticks his big daft geordie head on anything. Wes different class on the day.
