Canaries Utd 0 Posted August 28, 2010 Nott''m Forest 1 - 1 NorwichNottingham Forest are still searching for their first win of the season after being held to a draw by Norwich. The visitors had twice hit the woodwork before Forest went ahead when Dexter Blackstock scored a penalty after Paul Anderson''s foul on Russell Martin. Andrew Crofts scooped the ball over keeper Lee Camp from 12 yards to pull the Canaries level. Forest almost snatched a win late on but Robert Earnshaw''s 89th minute strike hit the post. Norwich will feel appeased by the late reprieve following the woodwork having twice denied Chris Martin as they dominated the early stages of the match. Firstly, Chris Martin turned Forest defender Wes Morgan and fired a shot against the crossbar before he saw a free-kick from just outside the area come back off the post. Forest took advantage by taking the lead after Russell Martin brought down Anderson and Blackstock beat City goalkeeper John Ruddy. The Canaries continued to threaten and duly equalised when Crofts finished from 12 yards after Forest failed to clear their lines. Elliott Ward headed an Andrew Surman corner over as Norwich almost took the lead and, after Earnshaw''s late effort for Forest, both teams had to settle for a point. Trent Canary 0 Posted August 28, 2010 Because the person doing the report probably didnt go, they report the facts, and then fill in the blanks. The tabloids do the same thing. The only other possibility is it was done by a BBC reporter based in Nottingham, hence an obvious bias.

Viva_Marc_Libbra 0 Posted August 29, 2010 Read something the other day on BBC Sport about David Marshall Norwich Goalkeeper to do with the Scotland squad. It''s minor details, employ someone who gives two hoots about football and they''ll iron out the creases.
CantonsHero 0 Posted August 29, 2010 To be fair remember, the BBC are trying to accumulate info on so many sources for so many stories and do a really good job. They will make mistakes, but on the whole their coverage of all sport is first rate. Of course we''re more experts on Norwich that their reporters are likely to be, but theres 100 teams in the main English divisions and they can''t be expected to employ experts on every team. BGG&YPOS 0 Posted August 29, 2010 NOTW today, start the report, "Forest, who finished third last term and were beaten by Blackpool in the play-off''s, were second-best to League One champions Norwich and just sneaked a draw". At least someone got it right.
SnakepitCanary 0 Posted August 29, 2010 Another example of lazy journalism from the BBC:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/norwich/8953190.stmRussell Martin apparently hit the post twice in the game!

Funny article, apparently Forest scored an equalising penalty, but we had to come from behind. For 1-1. Hehe. Ah well.
