Thai Canary 0 Posted November 14, 2004 Probably our problem now can be solved much easier than we think. Peter Withe used to be manager for Thailand national. And he is good at motivating players esp. after being down at half time. Thai players normally lack of height but Withe brings on pace and good tactics. I believe Withe is now in Indonesia. After the silly Thai FA boards sacked him, he spent time at ESPN.Agree on bringing on taller man on central defence. Haven''t seen Shackell played but reading from the previous comments, he may be the one. Doherty is too clumsy. Also agree that we need to give more chance to youth players and Mulryne. To Normann Canary: I''m Thai, not ex-pat. I am NCFC fan since 1980s. Still remember the feeling after winning the League Cup Final. And the great team spirit under Mike Walker era.
Normann Canary 0 Posted November 14, 2004 hey Thai Canary: good to have you back on deck... Can''t say that I agree with you totally, because I''m not up for getting rid of Ol'' King Worthy... Your reasoning for Withe sounds positive... but like u said... he''s in Indonesia and just recently signed a four year contract... I spent some time in Thailand when I was a younger in the 80''s... it was a beautiful country and great people... do you still live there? or are you in the U.K now?I was only a kid... but I always tried to barter a deal, ofcourse they were to smart for me... yes..... stooopid kid as for the defence, I''m not arguing, something needs to be done...
