Clint 221 Posted August 6, 2010 Before the usual idiots reply with ''Lambert Out'' blah blah, he''s proved himself to be an excellent manager but could someone explain to me his subs tonight? He''s usually one to change it early but I think it was 70 mins before Holt came on...,and for another forward at 2-1 down.I thought the whole team could have been changed at half time and we were crying out for some passion and tenacity. Yet Holt sat on the bench for another 20 mins and Smith/Lappin didn''t come on at all (whatever you say about Lapps, he will put a shift in).Our midfield was anonymous and their keeper made no saves all game. I would have thought that would have pointed to changes and last season, I think Lambert would have made them.Macca coming on with a few mins to go, also seemed a little bit of a waste of time. grantroederdisaster 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Holt was probably held back cause of his lack of match practise. We looked a lot better when he came on!
Lambert is King 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Because Holt was only fit enough to play 20 minutes - no point bringing him on for 40 minutes when he would only last 20.
