Morisons Prozac 0 Posted August 10, 2010 I think that instead of switching to a 442 when the diamond has been exhausted or Hoolahan is unavailable we should play a 4-3-3. I expect the team would lay out like this: Ruddy R Martin Ward Nelson Drury Crofts Fox Surman C Martin Holt McNamee This would definately widen our play without disrupting the midfield and allow the fullbacks to be more defensive which I think they would prefer as would Ruddy and the CBs. This would suit the front three perfectly with Martin and Macca sending in crosses for Holt to get on the end of. The only downsides of this line-up is that I couldn''t see Hoolahan or Jackson fitting in this side.
dylanisabaddog 4,737 Posted August 10, 2010 Replace Crofts and Fox with Smith and Hughes and it wouldn''t be a bad team
G 0 Posted August 10, 2010 I thought we had international breaks? Crofts is off with the Wales squad isn''t he?

Big Slob 0 Posted August 10, 2010 I think Surman is to much of an attacking player to play in that position, and not good enough defensively.
