TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 Hi. Posting on my iPhone and will give my thoughts direct from each of the home friendlies. Firstly the warm ups. Ruddy is massive and makes poor Jed Steer look tiny. Michael Nelson looks fitter than last season. The new seating around Carrow Road is perhaps a bit too obvious (yellow seats in green seat areas). These new luminous yellow jerseys are attracting bugs like crazy. Jackson already getting autograph hunted by the younger fans - clearly going to be a fan favourite if he does the business. New staff member conducting fitness warm ups. Surman looks a class act even from the warm up. He just oozes class on the ball. No Forster for Newcastle. Obviously talking to another club. The club continues there practice of having a team of mascots - 7 today at 200 a pop.More thoughts as the match progresses.

TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 Indeed they pay.Early thoughts. Crofts on the right with Fox in the holding role. Jackson likes to drift wide to get posession and come inside - Anelka like. Andy Carroll brimming with confidence. We''re playing a high tempo game quickly closing down and forcing nufc to make mistakes. Wes delightful pass lead to Surman shot which keeper made wonderful save. Jackson and Wes my pick of the bunch at 15 min stage
TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 1-0 Norwich. Wes dances through the defence for a Martin tap in

TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 More thoughts near to half time.Wes best player on the pitch. Of the new guys, Jackson looks lively, Crofts rivals Hooze for work rate, Fox can pass the ball but has misplaced a pass or two, ruddy looks a good keeper but has had little to do. Ward looks comfortable so far and Surman''s crossing is superb. Of the rest honourable mention must go to Russell Martin who has been magnificent so far, second only to Wes. Drury having an off game, his tackling has been somewhat late.

TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 1-1 Ameobi, nothing ruddy could do. Jackson has a goal disallowed as well. Right decision.Newcatle have changed their entire team. Oli now on for Jacko and Francomb on for Ward. Crofts now playing very well, been very impressive down the right. Not convinced Fox is strong enough to hold but his distribution is good. Alan Smith is a dirty so and so.

Mister Chops 7 Posted July 24, 2010 I bet Chris Martin did f**k all in the entire match except score two goals, the lazy arse.
Boogle 0 Posted July 24, 2010 Nice to hear whats going on, but pre season is just about fitness, tactics, and gelling a team. Wouldnt judge players on how they perform too much.Look at Newcastle, I remember they lost 6-1 to Leyton orient last summer, and went on to win the championship. TheGoogler 604 Posted July 24, 2010 Chris Martin has worked very hard actually. Done very well. Pitch invader just ran length of the pitch before being escorted out. Mcnamee creating havoc down the left and created a couple of chances which last gasp nufc defending cut out. Ruddy had a bit more to do this half and done it well. Oli causing problems for shorter of defenders. In short, ncfc better team vs ok standard newcatle. Good, entertainig game too.
