The Gunnpowder plot 0 Posted July 28, 2010 Mine has to be Boyd to Boro on a free transfer. He has the ability to absolutely smash the league up. Reckon he or Scott Mcdonald have a chance to be top scorer.
Ooh Ahh Lee Power 2 Posted July 28, 2010 Surman - proven at this level........how will Boyd do in England when he is facing better teams week in week out?
Brendo 0 Posted July 28, 2010 What a bizzarely odd post for me there. Boyd is for me, probably the best signing too. [Y]But Scott MacDonald? [:|] [^o)] Are you kidding me? I do also think Surman could be top 10/5 signings too.
The Gunnpowder plot 0 Posted July 28, 2010 Scott Mcdonald was playing well at the end of the season and will benefit from a bigger striker next to him. I would definately get him on a each way bet if his odds were 16/1+. Boyd scored 7 in 16 for Scotland and also scored a bundle at Kilmarnock

I like the gambles that work out well. The thing is with Boyd is not so much whether he has the ability - its whether he can do it week in week out at a more consistantly high level. The Scottish league goes from borderline premiership with Rangers and Celtic to boderline league1/2.
