i'm thick help

hello all it''s been a while since i have posted on here, although i do look at the board at least 3 times a day but don''t have the time to reply, anyway how do you get the posters names on the left hand side, all mine has is the picture and forum newbie or whatever and it gets frustrating when you can''t see who has made the post.

also mr forum moderator thingybob nice people chaps and chapeses, when you changed the board over to the new style i lost my post counts, not that I''m too bothered it will mean I''m just a newbie again for the 5th time.

Not sure why you can see pics and user details but not usernames. What set-up have you got i.e. which version of Windows (or another Operating System), which internet browser do you use and what dialup do you use to connect to the net?

As for your posts count I''m guessing it''s because you re-registered...

thanks for the reply. i''m with AOL dial up and my laptop is on xp.

maybe i''m weird but hangon now i have logged on our bad luck will change and we will start to win now. well it''s a thought

can''t remember re-registering my name as suggested nevermind i am not bothered about the counts

AOL?! You''ve done well to get this far. A lot of regulars have retired due to having AOL as they can''t access the forums at all. I''ll look into it tomorrow.

dblockbarclayboy: Why not switch to Wannadoo? (ex freeserve) its great and can be done easily on line.

Do you have a firewall enabled?. If so, try disabling the ad block. I had similar problems until I did that.

i''m with wanadoo as well but as i have not paid my telephone bill to b.t (a slight disagreement with them over a bill) so wanadoo don''t work and the AOL works with out a proper working line.

i bet someone from bt will read this and cut it off completly now
