No Holt? Hmm. Well, these friendlies are always the same; if a player has a knock of any sort, even if verging on the non-existant, they''ll miss the game.

I think it''s probably obvious that Holt has a knock but I''m more worried about the Korey Smith situation.  The team looks like the one that is very likely to start the season, minus a few, but Korey Smith is on the bench.  He was also on the bench for the first half against Dereham and then got brought on as RB.  I hope Lambert isn''t dropping him from midfield to become the second choice right back because that would be a huge waste.

I know it''s only a friendly and I shouldn''t read to muchinto it but this does worry me.

Has it got to the point where local newspapers aren''t even allowed to give a Half time report?

Specially for you, your lordship!Still my favourite poet.

I''ve seen the poison letters of the horrible hacks
About the yellow peril and the reds and the blacks
And the TUC and its treacherous acts
Kremlin money - All right Jack
I''ve seen how democracy is under duress
But I''ve never seen a nipple in the Daily Express

I''ve seen the suede jack boot the verbal cosh
Whitehouse Whitelaw whitewash
Blood uptown where the vandals rule
Classroom mafia scandal school
They accuse - I confess
I''ve never seen a nipple in the Daily Express

Angry columns scream in pain
Love in vain domestic strain
Divorce disease it eats away
The family structure day by day
In the grim pursuit of happiness
I''ve never seen a nipple in the Daily Express

This paper''s boring mindless and mean
Full of pornography, the kind that''s clean
Where William Hickey meets Michael Caine
Again and again and again and again
I''ve seen millionaires on the DHSS
But I''ve never seen a nipple in the Daily Express

[/quote]Much appreciated Beaus.  If you know the lyrics to ''I Married a Monster from Outerspace'', they refer to ''a blob of slime''.  This refers to a mate of mine Jim who ran off with JCC''s missus when we were at uni at Salford in the mid-70''s!!  Those were the days.

Again from the NCFC site: Johnson on for Jackson to start 2nd half. Apparently Nelson is also captain for tonight

Great stuff! I always thought he sounded especially impassioned in that one, although "Twat" is the most eloquent expression of pure spleen I can think of.
