How do our season ticket sales compare?

Recommended Posts

I think there are a lot of teams, even in the Premiershop who would love to have the same number of season ticket holders that we get.

Always difficult to judge against a lot of other clubs as there aren''t lots of clubs to choose from whereas others have a number of choices in a 20 mile radius, having said that, it''s still impressive

Norwich is like no other club for me though, I think in general Norwich fans are thick and thin fans and stick by the club (in general)

I''m not sure how they compare total wise but I reckon we sell the highest ratio in terms of season ticket sales vs capacity.

Tottenham cap their sales at 20,000 despite having a waiting list around 18,000 strong.

Our cap is 20,500, with the stadium being built to 27,000. That means 6,500 left for general tickets. Something like 2,400 is the maximum away fan allocation, so that leaves it to 4,100 tickets for Norwich fans. Then you have the net to seperate the home and away fans, that takes up 500 seats if figures of our attendances are to be believed. The means 3,500 general tickets will go to Norwich fans. Seems reasonable.

That hasn''t got much relevance in this thread, but I was interested.

That article/link is dated July 2008 so is two years out of date. Think you''ll find that Ipswich had sold 12,800 at the end of April

Which is 3000 less than last season. Without the ''Keane effect'' I doubt if they will make up that shortfall.

Another reason why they are stuck waiting to shift out some of the unwanted players before they can bring in a couple of ''freebies''.
