Bilingual Managers

Recommended Posts

It seems apparent that Paul Lambert has a decent grasp of German from his time spent in the country.

Have Norwich ever had a bilingual manager before?

Ha Ha :)

Actually, to open up the question. Are there any current British managers who speak another language?

I''d imagine Roy Hodgson can speak at least one other language, he''s managed in Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, the UAE, Norway and Finland.

Either that or he''s really good at speaking loudly and slowly...

I''m a bit quick to respond...but I think it highlights the calibre of manager we have in Paul Lambert.

I''d rather listen to him than a fat yank. [:)]
Paul Lambert doesn`t have a basic grasp of german.

He is fluent.
I''d hope so - he took his coaching badges in Germany, didn''t he? Unless the course was based on the Fabio Capello style of touchline coach intervention, which seems to involve a load of unitelligible but very vigorous hand signals and shouting in a foreign language that''s drowned out by the vuvuzelas...

Would you rather listen to an in-shape Yank than him, Brendo? You know, like one who plkayed on the team that finished ahead of England despite having 2 good goals disallowed. HA HA HA HA

I''d rather listen to him than a fat English kid.
