Ipswich have bid £2m for Norwich''s brightest prospect Korey Smith. Midfielder Smith played a full season in the League 1 champions season, and his all action style has alerted many clubs to his potential. Hard up Norwich would like the money but are unlikely to wreck the feel good factor around the club by selling to their nearest rivals.

I think we can put that one safely to bed!

Managers always say that then next week they have a whole new squad.

It should be taken in the context of the paupers supposed £4m bid for Chopra. A bid that Cardiff said they have never received, a bid that the paupers also later admitted they had never made.

The fact that both Keane and Clegg had stated that players will have to leave BEFORE any come in suggests that our impoverished neighbours are not in any position to make any serious bids.

Unfortunately as nobody has shown any interest in the dross clogging up poorman road it is very likely that it will be some time before Mr Roy can drag in a even a couple of freebies (as was his stated intent in May). So much for Mr Roy wanting his squad sorted out before they started the pre season training.

Maybe, just maybe our dimwitted neighbours might slowly begin to to grasp the reality of their sorry position.
