Due to Lamberts international pedigree maybe  he  would fancy a punt on a signing an international at the world cup.Any half decent players in the squads  out there who would not cost an arm or a leg? I hear that Cowling is going to be out there checking out players for ColWho, that 500,000 is burning a hole in his pocket.

Lambert was quoted this morning as saying that foreign players cause disruption because their style and method is often different.

The exception, he said, is Scandinavian players, and presumably western European, who play more in our style.

If/when we get into the Premiership, we may have to do what most teams have done - acquire some African or other players, but for the moment PL seems not keen to look beyond Europe.

Jonsson was a swedish international and played the best football of his career before he came here... I would say that worthington played him out of position that season and that we never saw the best of him...
