I really wouldn''t read too much into the numbering, as we''ve all seen players in first team squads with less obvious numbers (e.g. Henry wearing 12 or 14 instead of 9 or 10).Green is probably the safest choice, although Hart is really making a case for his selection despite inexperience. As mentioned earlier in the thread, a player is old enough if they are good enough (see Pele, Messi, Rooney etc), and on this criteria Hart deserves a chance.I see James as nothing more than an experienced backup to cover in the event of injury to Greeno, and being unsure of whether or not Hart is ready yet.

Personally I hope the #1 shirt was given to James on the basis of his "seniority" and possibly to piss of all the tabloids, which Capello has a habit of doing (and good thing, too!)
