as for askou he was a solid defender until he got injured .

i would at least give them a few run outs to test the water before getting rid ,as im sure a few players will surprise us

McCarthy sounds like a very good player. However his injury record in the last two years has been dreadful. I think it always incredibly worrying when the injury is a recurring one too. This shoulder problem seems to have plagued him for over two years. In our position we simply can''t afford to carry a crock.

He''s useless, Poor discipline too.

Might have improved since he was at Leicester, but he''s not as good as Ward and Zak and I guess he''d be on a good wage.

I think he was captain at Leicester

He was captain for a while, until he got injured and McAuley came in to replace him and he was a much better defender so Paddy didn''t really get back in to our defence. Kisnorbo and McAuley were solid, and Mccarthy was a liability.
