AL FAYED FOR NORWICH - 5 reasons why it makes sense.

Recommended Posts

1. He now has a bucket load of disposable income after selling Harrods to Qatar.

2. Fulham have gone as far this season as they can ever go with a crowd full of stockbrokers and antique dealers.

3. Norwich can play the pyramid formation and we are just down the road from Sandringham.

4 He could live at Holt and shop at Baker and Larners foodhall to maintain access to deli products.

5 He won''t have to come to the mountain... Norfolk is flat.

Buying a lottery ticket - More chance of getting 6 numbers on that than Al Fayed coming to Norwich!

But I''ll say one thing - We''re a bigger club than Fulham, who without their suger Daddy would be getting 3-5000 in League 2 and would be one of the smallest clubs in London and one of the smaller clubs in the Country!

I can see it now.... walking out to the music of the Bangles.....no paparazzi allowed anywhere near the tunnel.... it''s written in tablets of stone.

Come on Delia and Michael get on the blower and lets see that helicopter pad at Colney.

fulham are bigger than us!

how you can say they have had money thrown at them is crazy. Etuhu, gera are both good players for fulham and were both from championship teams(at the time) he has not spent £££ on the team. Chris smalling was a non league player brought for 100k sold for 7m to utd. To say norwich are bigger than fulham your wrog!

We are a bigger club than Fulham.

We haven''t got as good a team at the moment and we''re not playing at as good a standard as they are but we are a bigger club than them.

Like Leeds, they''re a bigger club than most. Sheffield Wednesday are a bigger club than a lot of teams above them.

Sounds like we have all the corners and some of the straight edges with 7 reasons instead of 5.

Lets work on this project and see how the cookie crumbles.

8. Etuhu has played for both teams.

9. Norfolk cottages is an everyday phrase.

Just need one more link and the case is made.

Boys.. boys... why the arguments?

Seems we have a split decision on the ''who is bigger'' question but size doesn''t matter banana and GJP

The question put forward was whether Al Fayed''s billion and a half would be a useful stepping stone until we get proper backing.

The Fulham/Al Fayed revolution started way before the likes of Etuhu. It started when in the late 90''s Al Fayed bought Fulham who were then a struggling 4th Division team who got 5000 watch them for a big match. He gave managers like Keegan an open cheque book tpo go out and but the players they wanted and he also financed the redevelopment of a crumbling old sradium that at the time looked a likely candidate to be sold of for housing. In recent years Al Fayed has tryed to make Fulham more self sufficient by cutting the spending.

The Fulham story of recent years must be great for the 4000 diehards who were following the club when they were in the 4th Division in the late 90''s and its given 20,000 fair weather fans and London based foriegners who can''t get into Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea an opportunity ti watch Premiership football!

A few years back Fulham had a neutral section of the stadium to try and entice more fans into the ground!

Basically Al Fayed bought Fulham cause it was down the road from Harrods and it has been his personal toy ever since!

Like Wigan and Blackburn, without being bankrolled by mega owners, Fulham would be nowhere near as big a club as Norwich!

Norwich have in my time following the club never been below 11/12,000 average ATT and this season have had average crowds of nearly 25,000 in the 3RD DIVISION. We''ve never been bankrolled to even a fraction of the extent that Fulham have and have had to fund our ground improveents ourselves!

So Banana you are very WROG!

I''m all for encouraging 5-a-day but I can do without so much banana.

Can you re-brand as apricot and come back with more rounded views?

And GRD can you stop living in the past and make up with apricot.

Enough !
