To those upset about Doherty's departure

Recommended Posts

I agree with you, it''s sad to see the doc go because he''s been fantastic this season..However, he''s getting on, now. He''s entering his 30''s, and with his contract nearly up I don''t think it was worth renewing. In the championship, he''d have had a good season to begin with, until his age catches up with him and then he starts playing poor again and eventually gets released.Surely it''s better to end it on a high than a low? He''s going out as a legend, and he isn''t forgotten after a terrible season. How long has holt got on his contract? I can see him not being offered a new deal to be fair, it''s a waste of money due to his age.. we need younger talent that can stay in the long run (Not slating holt, either, he too has been fantastic)I look forward to seeing who Lambert signs in the window.

oh come on, who the hell cares? This forums flooded with so many threads there''s no point in really caring.

Sorry but what is it with you and people adding threads? Chill out...

PS. Spot on with the post except Doc is no legend

morty, it took you 2 minutes to jump on this supposedly unwanted thread, read it and respond.

Why did you even look at it? AndyCap and Graham, you can chime in, too.

morty, my point is you are supporting an unwanted thread by responding to it and keeping it at the top of the topics page. You seem to be chopping off your own foot, metaphorically speaking, if you don''t want this thread around.

GH, read what I wrote to morty. It applies to you too. You don''t want the thread? Ignore it and let it die. Instead, you want to outpace each other to see who can add the "not another thread" comment first, thus keeping the thread high on the list AND making it look popular as the response count rises.

At least if Morty (the self styled owner of this board ...snigger) is throwing his toys out of the pram about a post (and a decent post with it) he''s not abusing people that use wheelchairs...

Once again, morty, you have proven yourself to be incapable. If you can''t respond to a valid point with something equally valid, admit you''re wrong or just ignore it. Name calling just reinforces the weakness of your argument. You keep shooting yourself in the foot trying to make me look bad but you are just embarrassing your own side. That''s probably why nobody else other than AndyCan''t is backing you on any of these threads. Gettingh help from AC is like stopping blood flow with a knife blade. It ain''t helping your cause.

You''re right HC you''re really popular. That''s why so many people voted for you on the ''Most Popular Poster Thread''...

No wait.. wasn''t that ''The Most Annoying Poster''...

Ah not much.

AndyCan''t, do you ride the short bus to school? You''ve taken a quote from me that makes good sense and added it as your catch phrase, but in your eyes it makes me look bad. Oh, AndyCan''t, you devil you.

When did I say I was popular? I don''t care if I am, although I do know people get a kick out of some of my posts. Some are amused, some are impressed, some are frustrated that I don''t back down, others are impressed that I don''t back down.

What I said was YOU 2 are not getting any support from the bevy or Doherty fans because you are presenting such a poor case, they don''t want to jump in right now. All of your arguments make no sense or are illogical. If you had some valid points to make, and could make them coherently, I am sure others would be happy to join in on the effort.

morty, you still haven''t explained why you keep this supposedfly unwanted thread going. How many times you''ve seen Doherty play has nothing to do with why you jumped on this thread as quickly as possible to keep it at the top of the page and give it credence by responding to it.

Paul Lambert''s seen the Doc play, train and socialise for the last 8 + months....as well as Mr Culverhouse and the rest of the coaching staff.

They probably have the best judgement of the Doc - than anyone on this forum.....

That''s why he''s been released to find another club.....
