Lewie - Holt Our Saviour

latest from the Dodgy Rumour Site

"

There are rumours circling that Rickie Lambert may be set to finalize a

£3.5 million move to the club. He has been banging in the goals in

League 1 and when, not if, Neil Lennon is announced the new manager he

believes Lambert may solve some of the goalscoring problems at the club.

Alternatively, Lennon could make a double swoop for Grant Holt and Wes

Hoolahan of Norwich City. The deal would be somewhere in the region of

£5 million + Darren O''Dea on loan."

You''re thinking of Darren Day  the "entertainer"- just had his driving license taken off him and escaped a charge for having an offensive weapon on him (basically a pen knife on a key ring locating gizmo - bizarre really).

Anyway if it is £5m, and we did bite their hands off, who would we buy to replace them?

[quote user="bjg123"]I''d bite their fucking arm off for £5m for the two of them!

here we go again, fans perfering money to players! of the 5 million max we would likely get to spend is 3 million, which two players would we buy to replace holt and hoolahan? or more importantly which two players could we buy that are better? Answer = none. If we did sell these two for 5 millon we would end up with replacement dross at half the quality and price. So if we were offered 10 million right now i wouldnt go near their arm!

If there is any truth to this whatsoever, which I highly doubt, then it shows how far Celtic really are falling at the moment. Lennon reeks of a cheap option and with all due respect to Hoolahan and Holt, two excellent players, I bet Celtic supporters are dismayed that the club are targeting League One players. Ok, you could argue they could easily cut it in the Championship and I believe they will flourish, but from the Celtic point of view I''d be worried about their future, especially with the European places thinning on the ground next season.

you wouldnt take 10 million, are you a moron, you could buy a whole first 11 with that all good champ quality. 5 million would also be a brilliant price, think barnard cost 200k, puncheon 500k and lambert only a million. You can replace hoolahan and holt their not messi and drogba.

Why would the top scottish team (other than rangers) with european ambitions want to sign Grant Holt?  I think that just proves that there is no truth in that at all.

Also this             Norwich City rumours: –

Was at the training ground yesterday and saw who i''m sure was Aaron

Mokoena walking out with Paul Lambert and David McNally.

Also, i''m good friends with Paul McVeigh who has said he has heard a few

whispers about a couple of players who could be joining us in the

summer.

He said that the players have been hearing things such as Fraser Forster

will be signing on–loan again for next season from Newcastle. And other

names mentioned have been Jason Koumas from Wigan, Jason Puncheon from

Southampton and Chris O''Grady from Rochdale.

Has anybody else heard any Norwich news?

Puncheon would be a good buy IMO. May not be far off the mark - would fit Lamberts profile. As for the Celtic Holt Hoolahan suggestion - absolute codswallup.
