Forces2Canaries 0 Posted April 28, 2010 On 15 May 2010, members of the Forces2Canaries Supporters Group will be undertaking their fourth Annual Sponsored Event and walking from Cromer to Norwich to raise funds for The Matthew Project. The Matthew Project is a value driven charity based in Norfolk working in innovative ways with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. The charity provides dynamic drug education to young people helping them to understand the risks of drugs and alcohol, and has workers based throughout Norfolk, in Thetford, Kings Lynn, North Norfolk, Great Yarmouth and Norwich.Having lost one of our members in recent years, who was a beneficiary of the charity, the Supporters Group feel this is an important charity to represent, and will be walking from The Junction in Cromer to the charities offices on Pottergate in Norwich.Forces2Canaries have raised over £1500 in previous years for the Bryan Gunn Leukaemia Appeal, the Help for Heroes Charity and The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, and are this year looking to raise £1000.Donations can be made at http://www.justgiving.com/forces2canaries-cromer-norwich-10.
