Morisons Prozac 0 Posted May 1, 2010 I expect almost everyone to say no, but would be interesting what other names pop up.The only manager I wouldn''t be too upset about is Ian Holloway as I would always look forward to the post match interview. Arthur Whittle 0 Posted May 1, 2010 Mourinho....NEVER lost a home game in nearly 8 years of management - unbelievable!!!.......Ive been lucky to witness some great managers over the year, but Mourinho has to be up that as one of the best tacticians in the game ever. Not just because of Barca the other night...look at everything he has won in just under 8 years...arrogant??? With a track record like his he can be......love him or hate him you have to admit he is a quality manager.........if Abromavic hadnt brought Jose the "present" of Shevchenko when Jose didnt want him.....who knows where Chelsea would be now...yes they are top...but some games this year they have looked dire...dont rate Ancelotti......Chelsea miss Mourinho and hes a loss to the english game......perhaps he will be back in the summer if Mancini or Benetiz get the Juventus job as expected??? I agree Jose is definitely a "special one", but Ancelotti''s record is pretty strong...champs league/scudetto winner, and it wasnt his fault the team he managed were fiddling matches. plus he''s odd on going to win the Prem in his first season in it! spencer 1970 180 Posted May 1, 2010 ...and as for any realistic "other" mangement choice in place of Lambert. Simple...NO! We shouldn''t even be talking about other possible managers at NCFC, it makes me feel dirty. sports desk pete - wipe this thread immediately!
Arthur Whittle 0 Posted May 1, 2010 Spencer......I agree he has won things.....just dont rate him as when games are going against them his lack of changing tactic, players etc is there for all to see....he seems a bit like Sven.....just seems to sit there and hope it works....won stuff granted....but sits there like a spare prick at a wedding most of the time.....ps....i expect Chelsea to lose tomorrow and Man Utd to win the league....so many people have come out in the media and said about what hard work Chelsea have made of this league....there squad v man Utds....be honest they should have had the title wrapped up by now.... spencer 1970 180 Posted May 1, 2010 I can see your point, a tinkerman he is not and his defensive system(s) are pretty rigid, plus he has often struggled with flair players et al J.cole/Rui costa, but he''s done well in his first Prem season and the way he has worked the forwards/wingers he has on offer into the system he play and to see them play so well *malouda has been a revalation, Anelka is more of a complete player, and yes drogba still oouses class and has banged in a load* ....AND i think chelski "will" win the league...or is that a "hope"? (sorry i cant stand the fact the man ure can sell probably the best player in the world, not replace him, and still win the Prem...for the 4th year in a row)
Arthur Whittle 0 Posted May 1, 2010 I agree Spencer...I would hate it for Man Utd to win it....but that goes back to the Ancelotti argument...when they have been drawing or losing games hes just sat back and made little attempt to change the game....I agree about malouda........Man Utd should have been left for dead this year....but unfortunatly I can see Chelsea losing against Liverpool and the dirty mancs winning there last 2 games......as for premiership team of the year this season....Darren Fletcher???....really??? have i missed something as he always looks Man Utds weakest link??? Lambert is King 0 Posted May 1, 2010 IMO Lambert is the perfect manager for our club, the club needed somebody to bring the whole thing back together fans, players, board and organisation, I dont beleive many managers would have been capable of that. He is also perfect for the next couple of seasons as his goals can only be met quickly by continuing the clubs improvement. Yes of course there are better proven managers, but he is our perfect match for the required job.Should he unexpectedly leave ( dont see that happening ) my vote would go to Steve Cotterill. Norfolk Mustard 70 Posted May 1, 2010 I''ve been thinking for a while how lucky we are; Lambo and his coaching team are the a perfect fit right now - we can all grow together from here?I sincerely hope the magic trio realise there is a long way to go and the credit will be all theirs if they want to do it.
