deano 0 Posted May 5, 2010 He''s been released by Derbyhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/8662147.stmI know he''s the wrong side of thirty but, due to our lack of a right sided midfielder if we ever wanted to switch from the diamond to 4-4-2, i reckon he might be worth a punt on a year or twos contract. morty 0 Posted May 5, 2010 Hmmmm, does he fit into the type of player that Lambert wants?Or is he a player that has found himself without a club who will be looking for a last payday with the minimum of effort?I doubt we''ll ever know.
When Saturday Comes 0 Posted May 5, 2010 Do we really need a new thread whenever a player gets released or is available? It''s May 5th and it''s tedious already. Nothing wrong with speculation & rumour, but let''s just let Lambert do his job instead of suggesting every over the hill non-contracted player as a potential signing. Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted May 5, 2010 Poor for an average Derby side this season, i doubt he''ll rediscover the Wigan form of a few years ago again.
marvin the martian 0 Posted May 5, 2010 Might give Crofty more chance of a game.
Bristol Canary 92 Posted May 5, 2010 To be honest I would be more interested in Jay McEveley always thought he was a decent player. Would provide much needed competition for Drury at left back and more than ample back-up if he lost abit of form or got injured.

[/quote]Especially as everything in Paul Lambert''s track record here suggests that his signings will be unpredicted and in some cases unknown. No one predicted any of his signings so far and quite why posters want to spend their time trying to suggest players when they must know that is not how he works is a mystery.Though I do recognise it is as harmless as it it tedious so carry on if you must. But why??

bjg123 0 Posted May 5, 2010 Not every out of contract player over the age of 12 will be looking for a last pay day and put in no effort ffs. People on here seem paranoid about this. Gary Teale is a very good player who in previous seasons has torn left backs a new one. Jay McEverley us also a very good player, would be happy with both. If these sorts of posts go in there, those who want to debate the merits of the latest out of contract player can do so, and those who don''t won''t have to wade through them.
