Does anybody know what was going on in the home end near the terracing yesterday? I think Leeds will be following us up because i thought Bristol were poor. Probably having nothing to play for wont help. Our boys played very well. Mcnamee was pulling the strings, Chris Martin lead the line very well and i thought even Gill was solid! Very professional performance. [:)]  Elliot was our worst player i thought but i wouldn''t say he did badly. Bit of a shame he looks to be missing the final game. I heard he needs to play to get a medal? Those 2 goals at Huddersfield were crucial so shame if he wont get one. Glad the rain hold off until the journey home! Christ it tipped down! Lol. Then the day was made even better by a rather butch woman in a Millwall shirt hearing my mate say "look, Millwall fans" She was clearly looking for a fight, "go on the fcuking say something! Go on!" we just laughed and wished her well in the play offs [:)]

What happened in the home stand was a group of time warped Norwich supporters from the 70''s in rows G and H decided to behave like boozed up Leeds supporters. They started agressively shouting and singing and consequently the Rovers supporters took umbrage and some handbags started flying around. Four initially got thrown out and the rest quietely left when the second goal went in and the Bill finally arrived. The sad thing was that there was alot of city supporters including families with kids in the stand enjoying the atmosphere before the "Leeds supporters" turned up which was just minutes before kick off. Two kids at their first city away game sitting behind me were in tears and got so panicky when the big boys got out of their prams that their parents left the ground with them just after the first goal went in.

How many Rovers fans would call themselves Wroxham Bridge? I may live in Bristol and do go and watch most Bristol Rugby Club games at the Memorial Stadium but I stood on the Barclay through out the 70''s and yesterday was my 23rd city game of the season and next Sunday I will be at Wembley, so I will let you make your own mind up.

I was in the terrace and also saw the people being thrown out giving the v sign and shouting abuse towards the Norwich fans. Did not get the impression they were our lot.

I think some of them were Norwich thugs....they arrived in the away end just before half time, about 8 of them all middle aged , no colours and frog marched in by the old bill...shame on them..

I think there was some of both. I was at the back of the terrace and the first group who were kicked out were giving us abuse, flicking the vs and generally being childish, all the rest that were brought out were moved into our stand.

Seemed to be that there were nodge fans in the home end, the locals weren''t receptive which lead to some of them being removed and the City lot being moved.

It was a far shout from Watford or Crewe when we last celebrated a promotion where the home fans didn''t bat an eyelid

Yeah i did, and one of the others that was taken put turned around and told one of the city fans to F off.

Surely if they were thrown out (and quite physically at that) they wouldn''t then let them in the away end?

Thanks Rupethebear, having lived in Bristol for nearly thirty years I am now able to differentiate between a Bristol and Norwich accent. Also I can''t imagine any Bristol City supporter would dare or have the courage to come to the Mem and make a noise in the Home Stand.

Oh dear Rupert, you clearly have no idea what happened..I was nearby in the stand and these genuine long standing city fans were attacked by Bristol thugs, from behind for doing no more than cheering on thier team. the stewards were also happy to join in.you really should know the facts before making such derogatry remarks about your fellow supporters

Jim, all I am doing is confirming there was a crew out from Norwich, all old enough to know better...no place in the game for any thuggery...

The "NHS" as they like to call themselves were there (or at least rocked up after about 15 minutes) though I saw no police bringing them in.

I was at the back of the terrace, just in front of the "toilet block" and the infamous "red-square" (the only place people were allowed to smoke) and there was definitely a mix of Nodge and Brizzle being moved about. Couldn''t see any of the fight or bust up or whatever due to angles.

Thanks jim i was one of the 16 who payed £100 each to sit with the Bristol Fans we had a smashin meal in one of the lounges there was even a question and answer session with Jamie Curton and the Bristol supporters even gave us a round of applause before the Meal.

At no time when we booked the meal  and seats did we not tell there corporate department that we were not norwich fans there were a few other norwich supporters in there as well they were quite happy to take are money.

Can someone give a little more detail on what del boy was wearing as we have a few bets running between ourselves as to who it was

Sorry if we afended anyone but is it aggainst the law to support your team hope this clears things up OTBC

I was on the open terrace below, they were mainly Bristol fans, several gave V signs and other gestures to us City fans below while being escorted out. Most Bristol fans were very good and wished us well next year.

Jim, I don''t question their loyalty but I do question their common sense.Lets try a role reversal scenario and 16 Rovers supporters had a very pleasant liquid pre match meal at Carrow Road and then appeared in the middle of the Barclay or god forbid the Snake Pit and started standing up and singing in an aggressive and belittling way aimed at the home supporters. What do you think would have happened? I think even the Jarrold Stand may have even reacted.

Sorry Wroxham we will have to agree to disagree, i watched the whole situation unfold .there was northing aimed at The Brizzle supporters in any way shape or form. All these Guys were doing was supporting thier team. If there is no place for that in Bristol then that is thier problem.

Noddys Nobblers, welcome to the wonderful world of the pink un, where if you dont wear a yellow and green wig, facepaint, and shout green army in an over the top Norfolk accent you are a hooligan who has no right to support NCFC.

Heavan forbid you dare to swear at a football match or worse still dont kit yourself out head to toe in yellow and green, chanting lets be avin you!

We now live a society of X factor, Big Brother, Im a celebrity,  says it all.

I prefered the days when you pay on the day and stand with your mates, this Skinner and Baddiel culture seems to have ruined the game for me.

I blame people like Rupert the bear.......the same people you are slagging off have done more miles following Norwich than you will never get near in your lifetime. Im not saying just because they go to away games that makes them more important....but idiots like you slagging people off you have never spoke to, and travel to place from Carlisle to Yeovil, deserve a bit more respect than a muppet like you slagging them off behind your little computer, about last saturdays game when you dont even know what happened, they follow and support Norwich all over the country, while numptys like you are listening to Chris Goreham and Neil Adams, they are actually at those games that you "didnt fancy" or "couldnt afford" or were "too far away".
