Was anyone here on the same train as 5 or 6 of our promotion winning players today? The train was just about to pull away when Nelson, Hughes, Rusty etc got on to massive applause from the travelling support on their way to London. It was a great experience, however I wondered why they didn''t stay around celebrating in the dressing room with the rest of the players? They barely had time for a shower, let alone toasting the promotion that they had just gained.

Not sure if anyone would find this weird?

Probably given the night off and Russell lives in London ( travels back after each game ). Knowing what Lambert is like as well probably told them jobs not done yet

yeh saw them when they walked past that pub antigallican got a handshake off all of them aswell and were pretty friendy

yeh I was on this train, I was surprised, put it that way, how the players just started wondering about after the game, Lappin did it as well.

Yes Lappin was parked about a mile from the ground. He got there about 10 minutes after us as we queued to get out - I don''t think he could have had a shower!

It was proberly a way of letting the players soak up that brilliant atsmosphear that they had all help to create, And fair play to lambert for letting them do it!

I was stood next to Rusty on the Central Line all the way to Buckhurst Hill where he got off. Didn''t see anyone on the train at Charlton but there was a loud chant of "Sports Desk Pete, Sports Desk Pete, Sports Desk Pete!". [:D]
