Im just watching the Newcastle - Everton match. Newcastle have given a debut to youth player Steven Taylor and he is having a good game. Other teams have done it too, Fabregas at Arsenal, Warnock at Liverpool, Osman at Everton and Willo Flood at Man City. I think it is about time we started giving our young guns a go. We have players like Jarvis, Shackell, Crow and although i dont personally rate him Henderson all waiting in the wings and i think they be given a shot to show what they have got.

True we should give the youngsters a chance. But these youngsters are still learning and may be prone 2 mistakes.  Liverpool, Newcastle etc perhaps have the xtra quality 2 make up 4 these mistakes but where we are in the league we cannot afford for them to happen. Thats why i feel we should keep it as it is at the minute. When we are safe from relegation we should then give them the chance to shine

Fair point i guess but we already have seasoned pros making our mistakes and too many at that. So why not throw some of the youngsters in as they will be keen to make an impression and prove their ability. We need to shake things up. Its nearly halfway through the season and we have to treble our points total if we want to stay up and as we cant afford to throw silly money around the youngsters should play a part.

I''m with you Rob.  If they are good enough give them a chance.  The three most likely appear to be Jarvis, Shackell and Crow.  They can be given chances as subs to start with to see how they cope and thenit is less of a risk when they have to start a game like shackell did earlier in the season. 

It is a risk but given some of the below par performances we have seen these three would ben any worse than the options in their positions so we would have nothing to lose and plenty to gain
