I hate how the FA act like the discipline referees face should go unannounced.Football maybe a business, but it is an entertainment business and therefore fans deserve to hear about how referees are being disciplined, or worse in this case not disciplined just like they do about players and managers.Ilderton had a shocker and there should have been some response from the FA.

You know what Andy? i think I''ve worked it out.

Ilderton earned the FA £1,500 in fines for the Tranmere debacle. Perhaps this ''international'' is his reward.

The FA will continue to give the contreversial referee''s high powered games as they are potential money spinners for them!

This is where the ''respect'' thing for Refs falls flat on it''s arse.

He has a stinker, but no one in authority recognises that, and he goes on to greater things. Why cant there be some openess and honesty from the FA, why cant they come out and say that he was pants? - that would gain far more respect.

Sorry, Flying Canary, but this issue does need to addressed in one way or another. It''s absolutely ludicrous that Lambert & Karsa both received fines & bans for their part in this, but there''s sod all punishment for the ref and lineo who were never in control of the match, gave a penalty that wasn''t, gave a goal which Stevie Wonder could even have seen was a blatant handball, sent off our manager for a non-sending off offence and couldn''t keep up with play in the build up to our goal when the ball was arguably out of play..

And what happened in the aftermath, the bald, tubby, wobbly breasted lineo gets demoted to running the line of a league 2 game -...

What the hell did Chesterfield & Accrington Stanley do wrong to get that joke - and why was he not suspended for gross incompetence?

This is b******* and the punishments for incompetent officials need to be reviewed immediately
