MrFruit 12 Posted April 25, 2010 Abstract from FONCY programme v Charlton thought you may like to see that your efforts are appreciated~~~~~~~~~~~~“Mister Chops” does it againYou may recall in an earlier edition that I brought you news of the fundraising antics of the Pink Un Pickers, affectionately known as PUPs. This is a group of fans who under the guidance of “Nutty Nigel” use the Pink Un message board to offer their naps to allow that week’s selector to pick six matches for a free £10 bet, to be placed with local bookmaker Billy Dixon, with all the winnings being donated to FONCY. Last weekend, for the second time, “Mister Chops” picked six winning combinations and added £50.14 to their fundraising total, which now exceeds a cumulative total of £839, of which £231.71 has been raised so far this season. This season’s roll of honour reads:Week 5 NCFC_Shaun £30.84Week 7 1st Wazzock £80.13Week 8 Fonejacker £23.08Week 11 Norfolkbroadslim £13.35Week 28 Pboro_Canary £34.17Week 35 Mister Chops £50.14These join the PUPs winners roll of honour - Yankee, Fellas, New York, Inch High, Blahblahblah, Norfolkchance1.FONCY would like to take this opportunity to thank all the PUPs who regularly join the free bet thread and of course Billy Dixon, who must be the only bookmaker who wills these supporters to win.~~~~~~~~~~~~FONCY RaffleThe Easter Monday match v Stockport County saw the distribution of FONCY raffle tickets, due to be drawn on Saturday 8th May at the home match v Carlisle United. As we have said before, this is an important fundraiser for FONCY and we hope that, with your support, it will continue to be. Should you wish for further tickets to sell to your friends and family, then please contact either John or the Norwich City Lotteries office.~~~~~~~~~~~~Our final home match of the season is this coming Saturday v Reading at 12 Noon. [;)][/quote]Indeed Wazzy. And I can assure you Billy and us PUPS are appreciated by FONCY. Those guys at FONCY are amazing though. They do a tremendous amount of work to help the youth set up at our club. I am 100% sure that without their efforts we wouldn''t have the young players coming through that we have now. Their reward is the pleasure they get from seeing the likes of Korey Smith starring for the first team. And all you who help Rays funds for FONCY can share in this reward. The Free Bet, Raffle Tickets, Youth Team to First Team mugs, things we enjoy doing all help to provide Paul Lambert with players like Korey Smith. You can view Mr Chops moment of glory in print here :-http://www.foncy.co.uk/Match_Programmes/Charlton_140410.pdfWe won that Charlton match 3-2 after trailing 2-0. It seems belief is right through the club right now[Y]
