DANNY Wilson has sent out a warning to League One leaders Norwich:

“We’re coming to get you!”

Paul Lambert’s side may be nine points clear of Town at the summit,

but with six games remaining manager Wilson believes the table toppers

could still be caught.

And the boss says he is refusing to worry about the sides below them

in the play-off places, and is instead looking up - as they have done

all season.

“We’re not going to change anything that we do and our mindset won’t

change,” said Wilson.

“From day one we’ve always been chasing the teams above us and never

looking below us, and it’s no different now.

“We start to chase Norwich now - that’s our goal.

“It’s no use looking at what other teams can do, let’s see if we can

get closer Norwich instead. And that’s an ambition that we will try to

realise.”

Following a disastrous opening day of the season way back in August,

few people would have expected either Norwich or Swindon to be occupying

the division’s top two places come the business end of

the campaign.

The Canaries were thrashed 7-1 at home by Colchester, while Town went

down 5-0 away at Gillingham, and Wilson reckons the pair were written

off there and then.

“It would be ironic if we both finished up there, wouldn’t it?” he

said.

“It’s amazing. If you look at what the bookies gave us after that game

I think we went from 40-1 to 60-1, and I’m sure it was a similar case

for Norwich.

“But they’ve had a great run and so have we at times. Maybe not as

consistent as Norwich, but we’ve been up there with most of the teams

and just have to make sure we maintain that.”

Swindon are a good club and I hope they do well but I have no time for Danny Wilson at all. He seems to have a major problem with us for the McNamee incident and saying we have no bottle.

Both Norwich and Swindon to go up (Norwich Champs) would be ideal for me.

I wonder what the odds of that happening after the first games of the season were ?

I have been studying up in Durham for a while and I use the same pitches/gym facilities that Hartlepool United train on. Danny Wilson was manager there not too long ago and he was a thoroughly unpleasant individual around the place. Norwich get slagged off a lot around their training ground as you would expect because we have pinched Stephenson, Butterworth and Nelson from them in recent years.So I would personally like Millwall to get second spot.
