The only goals that I can remember well are Gossy''s wondergoals v Leeds and Bayern Munich, and Safri''s goal v Newcastle in our Premiership season a few years back. I''m sure others will be able to think of more though. Maybe put Mark Bowen''s header that won the game in Munich after Gossy''s opener.

In terms of quality I would go.

1. Jeremy Goss v Leeds: A lovely build up to the goal and the volley was sensational

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7yuKZlTtjQ

2. Justin Fashanu v Liverpool: Won goal of the season. Belter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owCt1dGrK2E

3. Youseff Safri v Newcastle: Again an absolute screamer. Still can''t believe he even thought about shooting from there

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6TokbRiUrk&feature=related

4. Darren Huckerby v Birmingham: One of the best individual goals I have ever seen.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFONxUodUTU&feature=related

5. Jeremy Goss v Bayern: Great goal and such an important one. Hence why it should be in.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-FebBxbGXY

Special mention: Not technically a goal but I saw this and I still dont know how the ball didnt go in. I was sitting in the City Stand at the time.

Southend at 1.00 (Didnt know we could pass the ball like that)

Cardiff at 1.40 (Cracker from Etuhu)

Wolves 2.10 (Overhead kick from Earnie)

I think Huckerby v Wigan in the same game as the Svenson one was better.

Don''t remember steeno v Burnley, anyone got a link? His goal v Cov was the best goal I''ve witnessed at Carrow Road I think.

As i was trying to find a name of a winger who i saw on  the milk cup final dvd,(and found him..Barham)..This led me to watch a canary classics dvd,and in 79 away at brighton, we won 4.2 and one of the goals scored by barham was superb! He had unbelievable tekkers! He took the ball down from 35 yrds out, and without it touching the floor hit a volley from that distance that somehow swerved into the top corner! ..I may have to now put him up there with Eadie and Hucks!

I loved Mcveighs header against Wolves in the Play-off, massive goal, gave us the 2 goal cushion.

Didnt Dion score a beauty at Hillsbrough?

[/quote]I am sorry, but I don''t see how this can be in the top 5, let alone top? [:O]Yes, a very nice goal, but all it was, was a long ball, nice cross and an unmarked volley from about 14 yards. Indeed a good goal, but there must be better?

Top 5 goals EVER.  It should include this one, but I very much doubt there will be any footage of it, perhaps some press cuttings from the time, but that will be all I think?

Before joining Southampton in 1966 Ron Davies was arguably Norwich City''s finest ever centre forward and certainly the best ever header of a ball. After scoring four goals for Luton Town against Norwich when the then City player-manager, Ron Ashman, was at centre-half Davies was signed by The Canaries in September 1963 for a then record transfer fee of £35,000.

Over the next three seasons he went on to score 59 League goals in 113 matches before joining Southampton and one goal in particular sticks in my memory. Norwich were playing Leeds United in the old second division and Leeds who were challenging for promotion had just signed the Middlesborough and England centre forward Alan Peacock. With about twenty minutes to go Leeds were leading 2-0 and Revie ran on to the pitch to embrace his team but then Davies struck. His first goal was a header from a cross from the left and then with only a few minutes left Phil Kelly the right back hit a long ball up to Ron on the edge of the Leeds penalty area. He was facing his own goal but he took the ball on his chest, half turned to his right and as it dropped he hit it on the volley with his left foot past Gary Sprake into the top of the net.

Sprake didn''t move and Ashman was quoted as saying afterwards "And there was I, invading the pitch just like Revie. It was the best I shall ever see."
Sadly Norwich weren''t good enough to get out of the Division and Davies moved on - to the first division and a glittering career on the south coast.

He had to run onto it at full tilt and he didnt half catch hold of it. If the Leeds scum give it a massive ovation as well that tells you how good it was.
