Its only my opinion 0 Posted March 28, 2010 I''m sure Lambert is still on a rolling contract as we didn''t want to tie ourselves down again after the money we lost through Roeder, Gunn etc...If we can we should try and tie Lambert down to a very long contract, so If/when a big club comes calling, they will have to pay us alot of compensation.. I would be happy if we used part of next season''s player budget on securing Lambert to our club for as long as possible?
paul moy 235 Posted March 28, 2010 Personally, I think a rolling contract works better. Even if we gave him a longer contract there would inevitably come a point where you could have less than a year to go and he may decide not to renew. With a one year rolling, there is always one year to go. Of course though, we could improve his lot and ours by offering a two-year rolling contract.
