Blurboy1980 36 Posted March 28, 2010 Hmmm can It ever be given to the whole squad? I know that sounds retarded but here in the States in the NFL the Patriots did something like that and they said no player was bigger than the team and they all came out as one. Well this 2009-2010 squad is sorta like that to me. There are so many intangibles players on this team.1. Holt...he is amazing. Great Captain. Great Motivator. Great Goal Scorer. 28 so far2. Martin - great come back player. His contributions have been immense and possibly securing the title with his goal against Leeds. Over 20 goals so far3. Forster - What can you say about him. He has made critical saves and his positioning is brilliant always making players go out wide or against the clear angle and anchored the defense well4. Doherty has been so solid in defense. He could have sulked at the start of the year when told he was not needed but he didnt. He has been a rock in Defense and scored a few also5. Hoolahoop he has been amazing too with his skill''s at times and his crucial goals through out the year.6. Russel he has been solid in Midfield controlling the Diamond in the middle.6. Nelson has been solid. Him and Doherty have been great.Without any of them we would be screwed pretty much. This team has so many players that play so well together as a team. This team has brought back pride to Anglia and to us Fans all over the world.I know it wont happen but I wanna say thanks to every member of the team this year. It has been a pleasure to watch and listen to you online and made me see how wonderful it is to be a fan of the best club in the world. And Delia as much crap as you get from everyone. I think you are an amazing owner and most teams would be jealous of what you do for this team. Yes we all wish you had deeper pockets but who doesn''t want more money. But everything you do for this team is appreciated. Yes some bad decisions have been made but for years we were lead blindly by an idiot called Doncaster. You paid him to supposedly do the job but he was awful. Delia you bleed Yellow and Green and I love you for that. I would take you over the Gilette''s and Glazers and whoever else is owned by owners who have them as a hobby and one day will jump ship when bored and leave them screwed. We can all see this boat is being steered in the right direction and I will fly my Flag of Norwich ProudlyOTBC...wow sorry if you fell asleep a few times reading this. AndyCanary 0 Posted March 28, 2010 I agree with all your points. And I think because it is so close that you would have to disregard players for in certain cases small negatives so:1. Holt - His dedication and work rate is second to none. But he''s not been at his best since his red at Brentford. Lost posession lots yesterday and another reckless tackle.2. Martin - His finishing is like nobody else I''ve seen in this league. But he doesn''t track back like Holt does. This causes people to class him as lazy. He''s not.3. Forster - Been superb for us this season, but his kicking is still at times questionable, although much improved.4. Doherty - Every game this season I''ve seen him he''s been superb. Never having a complete poor game. POTY for me for that reason.5. Hoolahoop - Love Wes, but he''s gone missing too many times this year. Not necessarily through his ability more so perhaps from where he''s being played.6. Russell - Unsung hero! Definately worthy of POTY. Just wish he''d stop being lippy with refs.6. Nelson - Has been solid at the back but can''t be considered along the lines of Russell, Holt and Doc as his distribution is poor on ocassions. Not for me, but if you''re including people like Nelson then the likes of the following should definately be considered:Smith - Just never gives up. Is a very good midfielder defensively.Lappin - Similar to Smith although in a more attacking role. Always seems to pop up and make play just outside the box. Holt has committed more fouls than anyone else in the league and has not been at his best of late - if the Doc put in performances like that or was booked even half as much he''d be crucified on here. For player of the season I like to vote for someone who has been consistently good and for that reason the stand out player this year - bar the very start of the season - is the Doc. Unhinged Canary 375 Posted March 28, 2010 Lee Croft to win in my opinion. He''s done just as much, if not more, this season as he did in last years POTS season...............[:|]
