as I said somewhere else so glad Tranmere is closer to Liverpool than it is Scotland. some people still think the earth is flat

Does anyone remember the game at Tranmere on a Tuesday night in February about 10 years ago, when thick fog came down half an hour before kickoff?  From behind the goal we couldn''t see the halfway line so had no idea that Darren Eadie had scored at the other end until he came charging towards waving his arms in triumph.  Every time someone hoofed it in the air the ball disappeared completely, and the players stood around looking baffled waiting for it to come down, it was hilarious [:D]

Radio 5 were covering the game so those of us with radios listened in, but they gave up after half an hour because they couldn''t see either and switched to . . . Grimsby v Ipswich [+o(]
