Would love to be a jeweller in manchester!

If they think that colour is gold!  According to a mate,their original colour was the gold like wolves use,but it wouldve taken to long for the manufacturer to produce all brand new green and gold scarves using that gold and green,and as there was already a precedent with yellow and green..

As posted on another thread;

"GOLD and green"

Just because it rolls off the tongue better... don''t wind yourself up over something as trivial as an easy turn of phrase....

the original newton kit was without doubt Yellow and green. 10 15 years ago utd played in a similar kit to newtons to honour some sort of history and if you find the kit on all their websites they even call it green and yellow. Dumb mancs. Whats also funny is in that kit they put the colours of the halves the wrong way round!

I''m sure they even tried to boycott it! Dafty Mancs!

Its very likely that in those days there wasn''t a wrong side. Shirts would be halved both ways as it halves the production cost - cut 1 yellow 1 green shirt in two and then sow back together.

If you don''t insist which half is green you get two shirts for the price of 1!
