I no longer use Club Cabbage (me and my girlfriend drive to games nowadays), but when I did I often had to sit on the coach for disabled supporters. No bad thing in itself but the regulars would treat you like scum. God help the poor bugger who dares to sit in a seat reserved for one of them. They shun you like a scummer. [:P]

Milk Cup Final Arthur, having won, we fancied a drink on the way home to celebrate and the driver was having none of it.

Havent used it before or since, and still pissed at the driver for ruining what should have been a wonderful journey home.

Used to travel with them when it first started up,(Duncan Forbes as steward etc),when in my mid-teens.Used to be a few good lads travelled that way back then.(The football special trains they used to run to places such as Leicester,West Brom and Watford were a good crack!)Have''nt used there services since those days, and to be frank would rather walk to an away game than go with them now.Off to Swindon next week using regular train services-the way to go!

I travel on them as not old enough to drive. Anyway, Gillingham in the JPT this year me and 3 mates quite embarrassingly held up both coaches by about 30 mins [:$]

I would like to know, how many coach drivers on the coach today, as it is impossible to drive there and back in the allotted driving hours allowed in one day IE 9 hours

Reminded me of being at school when everybody use to fight for the back seat. It shows how immature some supporters are!

I used to travel on Cabbage when I was a kid. Last time was in 93 when we went to Arsenal for a midweek cup game in between the two Bayern games.

Remember once coming home from Manchester City the driver got the junction at the M6 to head south but opted to avoid the slip road with the signpost "The South" on and instead chose the sliproad entitled "North Wales". That was after a slightly tortuous journey to the game via places like Rochdale and Ashton Under Lyme. I think Kevin Baldwin was on the same coach and described the journey in Norfolk N Good.

The other thing I remember was constantly getting Ian Butterworth in the sweepstake to score the first goal. (And pretending to be asleep when Freeloader Gus came round to do the collection for the driver)!

Thinking back I probably should have told them to bog off. [;)]

Only travelled with them once, away to Derby in the League Cup, they were (struggling) in the Prem and were were struggling in the Championship, it was in the days of Dervald etc.

The game and the experience of travelling with the Cabbagers was very traumatic and I am still receiving therapy......

The coaches aren''t that bad!  Yes it takes longer on a coach and all that but it is someotimes easier just to go by coach.  Anyway I have had a few experiences with them.  Coventry away couple of seasons ago.  Was having a good run untill we hit some spot about halfway and got held up for ages.  We eventually got going and would have made the kick off, however the driver then took a wrong turning and we eneded up being 17 minutes late and missed the first goal scored by Coventry.  Eventually lost the game 3-0!

Also this season, Colchester away.  Got within about ten minutes from the ground and whoever went there will no that you have to go through an industrial estate to get to the ground.  The driver was not using his sat nav because we had the coaches up in front but then at the big round about we got caught at the traffic lights and lost them.  We then got to the start of the industrial estate and the driver was going to go through it however the steward was adamant that we need to turn right instead.  So we turned right and ended up going through Colchester, going along the A12 past the ground and then turning around to get back on the right track and eventually get to the ground!  Luckily though got there well before kick off and we won 5-0 as we all know!

favourite trip on a club cabbage coach was I think, a trip to cardiff which we lost 1-0.  There were 2 coaches and the headlights on one failed.  This resulted in the second coach driving back up the M4 what seemed like 5 yards behind the other to cover the fact it had no lights.  At the end of the M4 we were met by an engineer sent out from Norwich to fix the fault.  They chose to do this outside a local pub (I thought it was called the Denham Express, but there is no pub of that name now).  The locals were delighted to have a couple of coach loads of friendly fans turn up, (yer right) especially when we tried to access the disco taking place down stairs.  Things were tense for a while before some idiot fixed the coach and we had to continue our journey. The moral of the story seems to be, if you do have to travel with CC and you want a drink on the way home, take somebody with a working knowldgge of auto electric with you.

Great win today.  Hail Paul Lambert, hero of the Revolution.

I always use it when I go to away games and honestly can''t see the problem (er, except the time I had to sit next to a parnoid schizophrenic, but we won''t go into that).  You get to a match.  You get home again.  You don''t have to think about it.  Does the trick for me.So there![8]On the bus, City!Never mind the traffic...[8]On the

Just curious how many buses usually go? and How many people go via this way. I am in Florida so I have no clue but must look a little impressive a few buses in a row full of Norwich Fan''s.

We had seven or eight coaches go today.  Usually it''s a bit less than that but I suspect we''ll have big away followings for the rest of the season so seven or eight may be the norm now.

I went to Leicester in the 80''s on Club Cabbage - nothing interesting to report apart from saw a fox running in the fields approaching (Leicester appropriately)

My memory may be failing me but I''m sure there were British rail specials to the FA Cup matches at Derby and West Brom many years ago and I''m pretty sure the carriages ended up in a state of disrepair. West Brom trip for the last and only time I had cold lamb sandwiches. I can still feel the coagulating fat on the roof of my mouth when I think about it.

Went by coach today, and our driver took the sign that said ''Halifax'', when the sign on the exit before that said ''Huddersfield stadium'' ... [:|]

I havent used club cabbage for ages because I got fed up of stewards picking and choosing the regulars they wanted on their coach and having to give up seats. I presumed it was first come first served for seats!

Worst trip though was setting off at 4am for that trip to Sunderland in promotion season that was called off while at a service station in Doncaster at 9am. On the plus side I was home in time for football focus....

2 memories of CC

1) was coming back from Grimsby in the FA Cup.  We lost 3-0 and got a police escort out of town.  Unfortunately said escort took us on a diversion via Scunthorpe which meant we could STILL see the lights of Blundell Park well over an hour later

2) The Playoff final.  Three main stories with this:
   i) the coach driver pulled over for his break when we were less than 10 miles from Cardiff and refused to continue until he''d had his hour - even though there was a 2nd driver on board
ii) it was a hot day, the roof had been shut - and the driver had his heating on full blast on the journey home (thinking about it from memory it was a coach from Diss way - so he could have been a binner)
iii) despite all this I was trapped next to a teenage nutter in a hoody who''s sole entertainment on the journey was either playing his gameboy with the volume turned up or waving his scarf at every passer by
