Norwich City : "Akin' To A Champion"

Recommended Posts

On another positive note, today is the day we finally met the form of last years clear and worthy Champions....http://www.lcfc.com/page/LeagueTable/0,,10274~20090303,00.htmlhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm.... Also, it''s worth mentioning from this point on Leicester failed to win on 5 occassions. While one can''t possibly lay claim to us continuing this form, there is no reason to assume 98 points or more is beyond us.

MK Dons have been pretty poor since considering they should taken second with those games in hand.

Worth noting where Scuntorpe were at that stage. It always favours the team who come strong as they enter the playoffs.

Swindon''s lowly position maybe proof of the effect of a decent manager.

As to what we will achieve then it has to be 100 points and 100 goals. If you are in the back straight of a race there''s nothing to be gained by looking behind you to see what the others are up to. There''s not only gold to be had but a record (for us) too.

As far as promotion is concerned 87 points will easily secure that. Games -

Stockport (H)

Gillingham (H)

Carlisle (H)

Orient (A)

will give us those points with another SEVEN games as well, in case we slip up. Take another win or so from that seven and that should give us the title.

On season form we will end up with 98.5 points. On form since Lambert took over it would be 100.5 points.

So let''s start games with five forwards, bang in a few more goals, there''s nothing to fear ! We are now playing Huddesfield when they have hit the skids, likewise with Swindon. Thankfully we don''t have to play Bristol Rovers who now appear to be hitting form.

Champions by right, by a big margin and with every club record blown out of the water.

Nothing less will do.

We''ve lost 6 games at the same point Leicester had only lost 2
Doesn''t matter though does it? We''ve won more. We''ve amassed as many points with a better goal difference. That is what matters.

Nothing less will do.
Totally. [Y]It''s also worth noting City 1st that the hypothetical tally of points accumalated under Lambert based on his form presides over a lengthly construction period, where he essentially had a ''pre-season'' in the season. This was where we had found neither our ideal first team / formation, or a proper professional rate of fitness to Lamberts satisfaction. And even when we had, there was always the matter of moulding a productive and cohesive side. Overall you could look at about 8 or 9 poor (''ish'') games that have absolutely no indication unto the standards of form of which we are currently at.
