While unlucky for Mr. Bump it does set up a fascinating run-in with the three "chasers" now only one back of the leader, so one would anticipate some fencing of positions to stretch that neck out for the finish line. It makes the Free Bet thread even more intriguing in this coming week with Tilly making the final selections, perhaps feeling a little conflict of interest as to whether he will go with the selections of the leading pack. As we know from Arrdee, Tilly will definitely want to win this thing outright so he can sway those hips.

And Tilly is competetive and has always believed he could win it. He tells me everytime he sees me that he can still win it and refers to it as my worst nightmare! So this first slip from Mr Bump will surely strengthen his resove. But Beaus, Devon and Fonejack are all in there too with just 2 wrong. It will be a very competetive and interesting run in that''s for sure. No matter who finally steps up to receive Inchy''s crown it will be poetry in motion[;)]

Liverpool won for a few of us PUPs tonight so it’s time to do the stats and look back on what was a wonderful and inventive effort from Blah and an interesting weekend for our Pups League. First of all thanks again Blah. I hope you enjoyed your week in charge, we certainly enjoyed it with you. You worked out an excellent strategy using the power of the PUPs alongside the form of the teams. Your gamble came in and you were only let down by what was surely a freak result in Zagreb made all the more hard to take because it was Mr Bumps first wrong selection in 32 attempts. Then Olympiakos proved that they are a jinx to the free bet this season. All is not lost though because I’m sure Blah’s excellent strategy has given us PUPs another angle to consider when making our selections.

Mr Bumps truly remarkable unbeaten run sadly came to an end but, as Yankee said, it has made the run in to the end of the season very interesting. I mentioned those with two wrong earlier but don’t forget Statto is still coming up on the rails with 13/14 and will hit the table before the end of the season.

Altogether 54 PUPs selected this week with 41 winning naps (76%). Between us we gave Blah 29 different choices to consider of which 20 won (69%). These percentages were down on the last couple of weeks but still it was a terrific effort.
