Its only my opinion 0 Posted February 24, 2010 We can''t play with hoolahan there. Against any half decent team we would have lost last night. Hoolahan was very rarely anywhere near the left side of the pitch..which led to rose haveing to deal with a winger and a over lapping full back everytime they came forward. Rose was fustrating last night watching it. But thinking back he never had an easy option to play the simple ball. Or had any support when they came forward..This proves how good dury is as you never notice it untill he is injured.We will not get away with this in the championship, so when we go up can we play hoolahan or a more natural left sided midfielder. do you think we can or have to try and fit hoolahan in somewhere? Gingerpele 0 Posted February 24, 2010 WE DON''T PLAY WITH A LEFT WINGER OR A RIGHT WINGERthere are players who take on those roles either for most/parts of games...Macnamee was in Korey Smiths position last night, but played almostt exclusivley as a Right Winger...Hoolahan/Martin/Holt go out to the left at various times, Lappin covers the left, what more do you want.....change the whole team? we can''t have 1 CM.....which would mean taking Hoolahan or Martin out (which they may need for a game or two, mainly just to show them they need to up their game....)
