Brendo 0 Posted February 15, 2010 Let''s hope he stays loyal and stays with us in the Champo. He did rule himself out of the Burnley job too. Anyway, yeah he is doing a brilliant job, but Hello, it is league one.

King Klose 0 Posted February 15, 2010 He would go for Celtic no doubt, and with Mowbray not doing very well at the moment, that worries me. But until it happens there''s no need to worry about it imo.

Syteanric 1 Posted February 15, 2010 and of course Celtic will go for a manager who has spent the majority of his career in the toilet leagues of English football and not consider Premiership manager and former player Owen Coyle?trust me... Lambert wont go.

Lambert wont go.[/quote]Coyle is a lifelong Celtic fan, but never played for them. He also distanced himself from the job last summer, apparently not wanting to subject his family to the pressure that goes with it. Seriously, if you''re not winning there you have a 60,000 crowd on your back & the media & phone ins are on your case 24/7. As for Lambert going there, don''t think it''s a club awash with money - just look at their chairman''s comments from yesterday. This isn''t the golden job it''s made out to be.Lambert will leave NCFC one day, but I''d think his sights are on the Premiership.
nutty nigel 7,509 Posted February 16, 2010 The trouble with the Celtic job that I can see is that if you win the SPL and qualify for the CL that''s the very least that''s expected of you. To do better than that maybe too much of a miracle even for Lambert to perform.
Jacko 0 Posted February 16, 2010 He''ll stick around for a little while yet. The guy knows what he is doing. He realises that if he gets a reputation for being a bloke who downs tools the minute any ''bigger club'' starts sniffing around that it will hurt him in the long run. To be honest I for one am delighted that other clubs are starting to show an interest in our manager. Its shows he is doing a decent job. Given that Martin O''Neil resigned I think that Mike Walker was the last manager who was effectively poached. That was 15 years ago! However I am the only one who is slightly concerned that he is still on a rolling contract?
singing canary 0 Posted February 16, 2010 why ..?surely the championship is the next step for him to progress his career.i would be surprised if a premiership team would risk a manager who has not done anything in the championship let alone the premiership.if we get promoted he will sign a 3 year contract , hes enloying life here , why should he want to move yet wheb everything he touches turn to gold .lambert will be here next season .
