I''ve travelled to Plymouth and Charlton in the last couple of years on the basis that there was pay on the day from information on our website. There is a word that is obviously not in your vocabulary. Empathy.

If the venue was sold out then it was sold out ?!?Judging by this little article when i went to see Avatar and it was fully booked I had a legal right to complain and get compensation because i was daft enough to get on the train and go to Norwich to see the movie only to find all sittings were sold out !!I wish.Sorry guys but thats just daft :(

Morty - I hate to break this to you, but the world does not revolve around NCFC. The fact we sell out every game is frankly little short of a miracle. The assumption of Hartlepool fans that a club that has fallen like a stone in the last 5 years would not sell out in the third tier of English football is not exactly foolish. Or perhaps they should have realized the glamour of playing Hartlepool was such a draw. Fans should not have to do any more research than consulting their website and the facts/risks should be spelt out clearly. It should not be hard for you to admit we have dropped a clanger here.

Bloody hell, more fans moaning because they were naive enough to just turn up at the gate expecting tickets at a stadium that is normally fully packed, when they could have just phoned the ticket office prior to traveling, Christ! This crap never used to happen in the Championship, the sooner we get out of this league the better.

Note the "cash-only" which would probably put people off the thought of ''phoning the FCR ticket office in advance as they obviously would be under the impression that they couldn''t book them and collect on arrival. Been in that situation myself more than once over the years, albeit more with music events than football hope something can be arranged for them as a little "sorry" from both clubs.

I''m sorry but I can''t see what the fuss is all about, Hartlepool asked for 500 tickets, sold 450 in advance and then said that there would be tickets available on the door. What they obiviously didn''t tell their fans is that there was only 50 tickets left! I wouldn''t dream of travelling all that way to a club that regularly sells out without a ticket, thats just naiive. Admittedly I think it may be beneificialin the future for City officials to make that absolutely clear to visiting clubs and fans to avoid situations like this arising but I think there has just been a breakdown in communication somewhere along the line...

There were say 500 seats available to HU fans, of which 415 were been sold by ticket up untill the thursday afternoon.

The other 85 were been sold on the day.

 

Now the 85 seats were bought on the day, thus making it a ''sell out''

however there were spare seats because some people that had bought tickets didnt turn up?

Whilst your version of events may be true, that isn''t what I heard Hartlepool fans saying on Talksport. They said they''d gone down not knowing the game was off and were now on the way home again.

I work in the centre of London and I live near the Valley. If your fans didn''t leave the centre of London on those days then you won''t have seen why the game was called off as the pavements and roads are very well gritted, and it''s also a fact that the centre of London is considerably warmer than areas further out. Out near the Valley any area of pavement or road was solid with ice/snow. The right decision was made by CAFC.

Also, with regard to the weekend, I think you will find there were tickets available on the day. Had there not been then none of your fans would have got in.

NCFC gave HUFC the amount of tickets they wanted and asked for, they didn''t sell them all and the remainders were sold on the gate, they sold out. Whats the problem? If HUFC wanted more tickets why didn''t they ask for a bigger allocation in the first place?

I would never turn up for a game without a ticket if there was a strong chance the ground would be full, it''s not difficult to phone a ticket office and order a ticket in advance.

Anywhere you go without a pre paid for ticket,to any venue,you are gambling on how many seats will be left..Its a choice that i wouldnt take!..I always make sure my seasts are secured..though i went to the millenium playoff final without a ticket hoping to by off a tout,and from our group,2 were lucky,the rest of us were happy to find a pub and as pub wasnt showing it,listen to it on the radio

There were tickets available on the day and they were all sold.... as almost everyone has said before they should have either a) booked in advance as there was plenty of time in which to do so or: b) got to NCFC alot earlier to make sure they got their ticket.5 mins on the phone or several hours travel ending with dissapointment.... I know which one I would choose.

you are still not getting it are you.

Fair play to City for playing so consistently well that you can sell more than the home capacity. BUT as far as I can recollect you are the only club in the League that shrinks its away end if it can. Others can increase on demand but everyone else has a fixed away end. Yours is listed in handbooks and websites as about 1,800. So there is no reason, in all probability, for any visiting fan in this Division to expect not to get in to a match that is not all-ticket for away fans.

Some of you have recognised that your ticket office AND the visiting club have a duty to disclose the possibility of shrinking the away end whilst the usual few continue on their ''we shouldn''t be in this Division with the oiks'' high horse. Its clear that you have to make the away end all-ticket for all remaining games offering incremental pay-up-front capacities to the visiting club.
