ncfcfaithful 0 Posted February 4, 2010 I guess this is directed more at the generation of fans who remember the days of terracing on The Barclay but on the buses that were laid on for City fans at Colchester from the Wetherspoons to the ground there were some chants that hadn''t been heard for years. Was just wondering what peoples favourtie old songs were that have been consigned to the history books. Personally i used to like the below but i''m not even going to start trying to describe the tune!Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly''Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury?''Shanks said ''No i don''t think so but i''ve heard of the Norwich Barclay.'' NorwichCasual 0 Posted February 6, 2010 So many of the great songs are about ipswich. The monkees song about george burley reminds me of when i had my first season ticket in block P of the lower river. Allmost exactly 90 yards away from where i sit now. Man, you could still smoke and foxhunt, and we were even allowed to use some mild obscene language down there then. Good Times
