Does anybody know what happened to the trophy we won in ''85, and how long they''ve had this three-handled thing for? I''ve often wondered before but even trusty Wikipedia didn''t seem to know.

Since 1982, the League Cup has been named after its sponsor, giving it the following names:

• Milk Cup (1981 to 1986), sponsored by the Milk Marketing Board
• Littlewoods Challenge Cup (1986 to 1990), sponsored by Littlewoods
• Rumbelows Cup (1990 to 1992), sponsored by Rumbelows
• Coca-Cola Cup (1992 to 1998), sponsored by Coca-Cola
• Worthington Cup (1998 to 2003), sponsored by Worthington Draught bitter
• Carling Cup (2003 to present), sponsored by Carling

Three different trophies have been presented to the winners of the League Cup since its inauguration:

• The original trophy which is currently given to the winners ^[3]
• The trophy presented from the second year of the Milk Marketing Board sponsoring the competition, 1982–83 to 1985–86;^[4]
• The trophy presented from 1986–87 until 1989–90 during Littlewoods'' sponsorship of the competition. ^[5]

I see! So...what happened to the original trophy during the years when another was brought in? And who kept the one we won? Am I asking too many questions?
