Hammer and wrongs

Recommended Posts

Blimey what a load of old drivel that Hammer chap posted. Claims to have read all the posts yet still regurgitates the same ill thought out tosh.

It appears we are at fault for not buying season tickets. Oh silly us. Even sillier the idiots who have joined the waiting list. Why not simply buy a season ticket and ignore the queue.

What about those becoming members merely to tout the tickets they purchase ?
Wouldn''t happen in the fairy tale world of our friend the Hammer. No, somebody buys a ticket then discovers they can''t go to the game but miraculously discovers an away fan who might like the ticket instead.

Fear not we are also told that we should stop whinging and enjoy it as it may not last.

Much the same as if City reach a cup final fans should stop whinging if they don''t have a ticket because the game is only on for 90 minutes and they''ll be loads of empty seats the next day !

I''ve posted here because our arrogant ex-premiership fan has blocked any replies to his last post.

If it is his last post then I hope it sounds the Last Post for all the rest of the cocky know nothings that think they have the god given right to go where they want simply because we are ''a little club'' who should be doffing our cloth cap and being greatful for our brief spell in the sun whilst our so called betters take a temporary breather from their rightful place.

Well I''ve news for you Mr Hammer. You needn''t worry to much about getting a ticket to see your beloved ''ammers next season because on my travels around the Div 1 grounds there''s always been plenty of spare seats.

So get used to it ................... like we did for 9 years.

Well said MadDan. Going off on a bit of a tangent here but do you know what really annoys me? Fans of Premiership clubs who get relegated and think they are only on loan to the 1st Division. Just because they have been in the Premiership the year before that makes it their right to get promoted does it!? I''ve said it before and I''ll say it agian- The 1st Division is the toughest league in the country and doesn''t get enough respect. It''s much harder to get out of the 1st Division (going up!) than it is staying in the Premiership. Hands up how many fans thought when we got relegated all those years ago that we would be in the 1st Division for 9 years before we went up again? I certianly didn''t! The 1st Division is a tough league and it takes a hell of lot of grafting to get out. You don''t get that just because you have been in the Prem more recently than other clubs.

Wasn''t the on loan to the 1st Div a mantra favoured by the Fat Controller, always an arrogant stance to take.

Fulham along the Riverside used to have flagpoles on which flew 1st Div teams, when they got relegated 1968 said didn''t ned to buy 2nd Div flags as they wouldn''t need them, because they would go straight back, well they were right cos they got relegated that season to Div 3. hoisted by your own petard I''d say.

following from what you say dumbledelia,i wold also say it is the most exciting league.
the fact some teams at the moment have an outside chance of automatic promotion while still watching their backs to avoid getting caught in a relegation battle shows why. premier games that i go to are often full of corporate people all ''fans'' who support the team once they reach the premier.the 1st div is a happy medium, with big enoug crowds to create a fantastic atmosphere with a crowd full of people who really care about their club.you dont see that at chelsea

Couldn''t agree more Archie. We''re well into March and almost half the league have got their eye on the Premiership. Realistically we know that the likes of Preston and Reading won''t make it but it keeps the excitement going doesn''t it.
