Ticket upgrade, or Another City rip off!!

Recommended Posts

Just enquired about upgrading an U12 season ticket to U21 for todays match, so my eldest boy can take his mate and was disgusted to find out this would cost a whopping £11 !! Cost of U21 ticket £120 cost of U12''s £54 works out about £3 game difference! What annoys me most it that several games have been ''Kids for a quid'' this season. Needless to say his mate will not be joining us today.

Not a chance mate, surely I should only have to pay an average price to upgrade,as I''ve already got that seat. Otherwise I might as well buy any ticket around the ground. Or do what other less honest people do and try to get in with original ticket!
And the U12 season ticket cost you £24 didn''t it. Snorting deal if you ask me.
No mate upper Barclay £54 after last season''s discount.
£54 for a season works out at £2.48 per game so £13.48 for a teenager to see top of the league football sound like a good deal to me.

Not moaning about that, as U21''s ticket works out at £5/ game over full season, so why should I have pay an extra £11 to upgrade just for 1 game? and not forgetting at least 5 games have been Kids for a quid so far!

Wouldn''t have a moan if I was just watching as a casual, but it''s an upgrade, I could buy any seat in the Upper Barclay and pay £11, surely they should take into account that I''ve already paid for this seat and reduce price accordingly?

Ever considered those of us who don''t have kids season tickets are effectively subsidizing your 50 quid ticket? (not complaining about this but it is a fact) Then you expect to upgrade for presumably a quid which wouldn''t even pay for the administration of the club fannying about? It''s a good deal and you should wipe the cobwebs from your wallet and treat the lad.

Standard practise for most fair minded companies in this sort of case would be to deduct the average price you have paid all ready from the casual price for the game you want the ticket for and let you pay the difference. So presumably if you have paid roughly £3 per game all ready and they want £11 for an upgrade for 1 game to an under 21 seat then the casual price of that ticket is around £14. Totally fair and good value considering he is pretty much an adult anyway. If the casual price for this game is less than £14 then you may have an argument but I reckon you are whingeing about nothing in this case and need to cough up the fair price for the upgrade.
The fact that somebody else is taking the seat negates the fact that you''ve paid for it. The person taking the seat is surely expected to pay for it. My Grandparents couldn''t make a game so I upgraded a senior citizen ticket to an adult in the Jarrold on boxing day - cost me £17. Absolute bargain if you ask me.

Seems amazing value to me. Is there anyother club that reduces the cost so much for 16 - 21 yr olds. I know some do a student discount but that is usually on season tickets.

I normally have to pay more than £11 for away games for my 5 year old.

If there is anything to winge at its that the prices especially for this 16 - 21 category are far to cheap - at best should be students only - certainly anyone working should not be subsidised. And yes I have to pay for two under 12 tickes and think that is to cheap as well ( £85 in the Barcly ) commercially the club would only have to fill that seat 3 times to get as much money.

Mr McNally is trying to get rid of the debts give him a break
