The Great Drinkell 50 Posted January 29, 2010 I was being watched as a schoolboy by Notts Forest but never went for trials. my strike partner in the school team had trials for Villa but never got through. Did sign up with Shepshed Charterhouse for a month but didn''t like it so kept with Junior football.

CharlieFarlie 0 Posted January 29, 2010 I played for Harford Tornadoes in my youth , highlight was playing a cup game against Norwich youth at the Trouse training ground , a certain Dale Gordon , Kenny Brown Jnr were playing , I was a right back and we were beaten 11-1 . Ken Brown senior came into the dressing room afterward to congratulate us on the never say die attitude we had. That’s about as close as I got to a professional career Also torn knee ligaments so had to pack it in!

Yella Foreva 0 Posted January 29, 2010 I had trials for Ipswich and Norwich. I represented Suffolk and won a few trophys with Lowestoft youth team, i also played for Lowestoft first team a few times. This all sounds relatively impressive untill you hear that the reason i didnt get into Norwich was because they chose Rogert Eagle !!!!!!!!

Especially when the U-16 boys and girls teams would train at the same place at the sametime; not to shabby.I now work in football so it has made up for my inability to play it. WeAreYellows49 0 Posted January 29, 2010 Not me obviously, but my cousin Paul who used to play for Dartford, was scouted by Arsenal, went for a trial and invited back for his 2nd trial, during the period between his first and 2nd trial he was playing a match for Dartford when he clashed with the oppo''s goal keeper and shattered his left leg, football career over.
